Best practices
What works in practice: briefing, booth operations, follow-up.
The briefing
- Name one goal per event. “Appointments for field sales” beats “more visibility”.
- Define three core statements that should appear in every conversation.
- Set honest boundaries. A clear “I will check that with a colleague” is stronger than an invented answer.
At the booth
- Place Ava visibly, at eye level, with a short written invitation.
- Headphones or a directional microphone in noisy halls; otherwise offer chat.
- Brief the booth team: Ava covers waiting times, she does not replace a handshake.
After the event
- 1Contact hot leads within 24 hours — referencing the conversation.
- 2Share the recap internally instead of copying numbers into slides.
- 3Close knowledge gaps while the memory is fresh.
Rule of thumb: an event that produced no knowledge gap at all was either poorly attended or not challenged enough.
